J. Waters
Lost in the secluded woods, J.Waters, emcee/beat maker, picked up the guitar at age seven, displaying an un-quenchable passion for music. By age twelve, he took to the study of bass guitar, releasing his first ep with band ‘Interference’ at age 17.
Whilst studying music in Melbourne, he was introduced and schooled in the art of hip-hop through fellow Pang-Productions comrades Mata and Must. J.Waters has since immersed himself deeply in the art form, learning from many esteemed peers, and has made numerous albums and releases, producing countless works and has toured with too many artists to mention. Continuing to play and emcee in various bands, with styles such as Reggae, Funk, Dub, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Wonk, and Experimental, J.waters has consistently sought to broaden his sonic pallet in regards to his influence and inspiration. With the power of both words and the manipulation of sound, J.Waters explores philosophical and existential concepts, social injustices, and the ongoing internal struggle of the human condition, seeking once again to re-unite.
His latest album “Palette of Words and Sound” is due to be released by Simmer Town Records which shows a diverse range of styles from straight up classic Hip-Hop, through to Reggae, Dub, Grime, and Experimental. Accommodating to left of center music enthusiasts, and free-thinkers alike. Painting imaginatively colourful pictures with his “Palette of Words and Sound”, will inspire, evoke, and ensnare the senses. Leaving you on a journey existing outside of time and space.
